I made a quick 20 second search using the search function for hood scoop and realize i hate that it didnt filter to 3rd gens. So my question is what options do we have if we want the visually appealing non functional hood scoop? I saw Max Powell(youtuber) (i think hes on the forum also) with a carbon fiber hood from roadrunner fiberglass as an option(dont know the price). Do you guys know any other choices.

Go to the 3rd gen hood swappin thread, there's a whole bunch of people who trade hoods. Some people don't want the scoop, others do. But FYI finding someone in your area with a paint matched hood that is willing to trade for a non-scoop hood is very rare.

I am on there. Its more like 98% want the scoop and 2% actually willing to trade. Even with cash on top.

My latest method has been emailing private sellers who are trying to sell their 3rd gens with scoop and asking to swap with cash on top. I really dont think this would affect the value on their vehicle at all or if they end up trading in if the dealer would even notice but i could be wrong. Haven't found anyone willing to do it yet.

I don’t recall it being much lighter but then again I have installed redline hood struts since I got it, I was the first to have it, they test fit it on my truck.

I have this sitting in its box in my garage. All my local body shops want $1000+ to paint it Barcelona red. Anybody have ideas for cheaper options?

I live 100 miles from the nearest big city that might have a place to do that. So I really haven't checked into it. It's currently gray primer. Is vinyl wrapping something a novice can do myself? Any helpful sites or youtube videos?
