Hey guys & gals, I have a 01 tacoma and i love the hoods on the 02 4 runners the model with factory hood scoop, i thought for sure one would bolt right on my Taco. They look so much the same however with a little research i found out otherwise , seem's to take quite a bit of sheet metal modifications to make them work Not willing to do all that to my truck, i looked at steel and fiberglass hoods ( aftermarket ) also even thought about just a add on scoop , i would like to make it look like it came that way from factory. any ideas ? or did somebody have the same problem. Thanks,,

If you want it to look stock it has to be cut in and welded on.
Mine is from a 2000 4runner and cut into the original hood

There is a fiberglass hood but it uses hood pins to hold it down

Its a bit of work but worth it as there are very few with this mod. Personally I think it looks great from every angle.
Heres an inside view with my new projector headlights. I love the cutoffs and the light output

I did a thread on how to do this mod

Mine came with a backwards scoop (a dump, perhaps?...hah)

Also came with the original hood as well, which I swapped back on for the winter to help keep salt out of the engine bay.
