I’ve got a TRD off-road Tacoma and I really like the look of a hood scoop. Does anyone know where I may be able to get one? And any pros and cons of changing the hood from the normal to one with a hood scoop?

Pro: gets all the girls, not really.. its a sausage magnet

Cons: stupid blinding glare. Not an actual functional hood scoop

Loss of visibility is the main concern. Can make a difference, especially offroad.

Check out this thread, it's specifically for swapping.

Depending on your height you might benefit from seat jackers. I’m 6’ 1” and have no issues caused by the scoop.

You can buy a vinyl anti glare sticker that goes on it. Had one on my old Taco and it worked pretty well. I tried tagging him but his username doesn't come up anymore...

Same here. No glare issues in GA sun. I wear sunglasses when the sun is out, and no problems.
Loss of visibility. Where? Not a problem here.
Always wanted a hood since my flat hooded 2005 TRD DC OR, now I have one.

I'm only 5'6", so the hood scoop made a difference. I test drove both and the non-hood scoop definitely had better visibility for my height. This would only make offroad visibility worse for me, especially on steep uphill climbs.

6 ft even here. Your explanation makes sense.
My boy is 6'2" at 15 years old, hope he does not outgrow "soon to be his in 10 years" truck.

It was the first thing I noticed coming from my 96 chevy cheyenne. I'm like, damn... visibility sucks over that hood and hood scoop. Then, when test driving the OR I realized, even though I preferred the scooped look, the OR had better visibility for me (still nowhere as good as my old truck though!).

    Short people problems lol

    Cons:
*None for me, but some say they get glare

I think a big part of it is the new "squared off" noses of the new vehicles to make them safer for the pedestrians. No more sloping hoods.

    Hm I dunno.

2024 Ridgeline has got a pretty sloped hood.

I think Toyota is trying to make their trucks as “macho” as possible. Remember the 16-17 OG cheese greater grille?:)

I don't know. I'd have to see it in person. The very tip of the hood has a decent down angle, but the the overall slop seems to be similar to Taco's. It is lower, so Ridgeline's driver should see closer to the truck than Taco's.
My first SUV was a 2022 Isuzu Axiom that started the square nose trend, and hood on it sloped pretty seep.
