Hood Shield/Bugdeflector replacement?

Guys I lost the battle with a big plastic sheet on the freeway. Cracked my hoodshield / bug deflector and now I need to replace it. Problem is I have no clue the brand it was, it came with my truck. Anyone know? thank you. Pics of your hoodshields are also welcome.

I like that it wrapped around the front, past the hood and sat 1inch over it. I ordered an AVS1 thinking it was similar and it looks retarded, I'm going to return it. Its like 4inches off the hood. People say the weathertech and AVS are the same.

 

I just put a Westin/Wade on my '03. Fits and looks good.

Looks good. How close is it to the hood? Is it low profile? The avs I ordered had such a big gap it looked funny

 

That looks like an OEM Toyota one given the shape of the anti touch pads and the vertical lip on it. You might be able to get one from the dealer still they're not that expensive.

I have an newish one from a 3rd gen 4Runner that looks identical you could have but I'm a little far from you.

 

side note, trucks looks sick. that 95-97 front end makes me want to swap my 04.

You rock. Went to my local stealership and they had 3 left at the parts factory so I ordered one. I didn't know the OEM version is so hard to find

 

Looks like the OEM Toyota bug shield on my '96 Tacoma:

 

I got my Toyota hood shield. Its very similar but not an exact match. Darker for sure, same as Kevin's ^^^. And about 1.5" longer and wider.

Seems like the one I had hugged the round shape of the hood better. The toyota one is flatter and leaves a bigger gap at the ends.

Key-Rei if you think yours looks like my cracked shield I'd buy it from you

 

I'll get some pictures of the one I have when I get home today. Can't say for sure if it's dark or really dark off memory but I believe it's closer to the darker shade.

They may have changed vendors or something but I've only ever seen the cone shaped rubber hood stand offs like that from Toyota.


The one I have is a Toyota one for sure, has that same little "T O Y O T A" vinyl sticker in the corner and I got it from the dealer also.

I think mine would fit your truck given it's from a 3rd gen 4Runner but there's no guarantee as it is technically a different model. Plus shipping from Florida is bound to be done off of size so stupid expensive and don't know if it would survive.

But if you want it after I get some pictures just pay shipping and it's yours.
