Any one running an S&B intake and have hood struts installed? From comparing pics of struts installed and looking at my airbox not sure if it will work or not. So if anyone with the box can chime in?

Some mount in different locations. Some work with and some not. Just verify mounting locations for clearance.

one guy said he moved his spiker engineering struts and made it work. Last 3ish pages / post #231. I do not see pic's though. I mean, if he moved his, might be able to move yours but not sure with the length of the strut rods getting the hood to close correctly.

also saw Sokietech that mounts closer to the front and might clear, again not sure.

Check out my post. I came up with an effective and cheap fix. Had to remove the black plastic cover by the air box and leave it off. If you need more pictures or info, let me know

Looking for my first C.A.I....anything in particular I need to know? I have been told and plan on getting "one with a box", but after reading some of the threads here, will I need hood struts or does that just depend on the box? Also, once I get the C.A.I.installed do I have to upgrade the exhaust?
