Ok Engine Bay Projects ahead, blue sea system and mount, hood scoop light and a few others. I saw a row of different gas hood struts at the store.... instead of paying 100 for some offline, anyone use aftermarket ones. What size do the need to be and what weight rating. They sell those for 15$ a strut???

They have hood struts for tons of SUVs and I can't see if measurement is on point that would not work....

    A few minor things...
Redline tuning setup is $70, cheaper with group buy. If you think you can get $15 struts, ok so that's $30 for 2. You also need 4 ball mounts for the ends, so tack on another $30. Now you need rivets. It might actually be cheaper just to get the redline tuning standard kit for your truck.

when the sienna ones broke, I matched the stroke, length and ends on Mc Master Carr for a fraction of what the dealer was charging and they still are working after 10 years
