Doesn’t anyone use their insurance anymore? Why not contact your insurance company tell them what happened and see what they say. Sounds like a no fault claim and they may even contact the hotel. Worth a phone call.

Yes this will work. Installation can be done in your driveway, one-person job.

(I've "upgraded" my hood as shown in my signature, also bought an aftermarket prepainted fender online.)

Depends on the OP's policy, collision, comprehensive, "all perils", etc.
Seems the OP is getting stonewalled by the hotel management. To proceed further he may have to pay a lawyer several hundred bucks to write a letter asking to get in touch with the hotel's insurance co.

That was a Seinfeld episode, a guy jumped off the roof to commit suicide and landed on George's car, he tried to get the hospital to pay.

Any other damage to the cab fenders? That sucks. My dad had a tree fall on his hood 2 months after buying.

The ice build up was on the hotel, they should have kept it clean. They are stone walling you. If you get your hood repaired on your dime, keep all records and go after them in small claims court. Or let it go on your comprehensive insurance and get them to pay the deductible ( last resort). Scum hotel for not making it right.

Their insurance should pay. The difference is your deductible gets covered. Have your insurance contact their insurance.

Exactly this. OP contact your insurance company. They will take care of your truck, you will pay your deductible. Your insurance company will go after the hotel and make them pay. After they recover the money from the hotel your insurance company will refund your deductible.

Your insurance company is there to represent you in situations like this. This was no fault of yours and will not raise your rates. You pay for insurance to cover you, let them do their job.

Most businesses around here and some apartments, have warnings about falling ice/snow.
Watched a neighbor across the street get out of car parked between houses. Driveway just wide enough for cars.
Slammed door shut and both houses dumped their metal roofs.
Totaled his car, he was lucky to get out of the way.
Not sure if the signs remove liability?
Kinda like a slippery floor thing?

Being in 'snow country' and being as they have parking where giant clumps of snow could fall from 6 stories up.... On rigs or people.... They should at least have the heat tape stuff on the edges of the roof so it melts the snow before it forms giant overhangs of snow to potentially fall and hit things or people. That sounds like negligence to me.
Of course the hotel is going to deny responsibility... That's a given. But don't let them push you around. You might be better off siccing your insurance company after them, as that's what you pay for and they know the ropes on stuff like this rather you trying to go after the hotel on your own.
