Hood wouldn't latch...found the culprit

    This happened a few weeks ago. I just filled up at the gas station and popped the hood to check the oil. When I went to shut the hood, it wouldn't latch shut. I messed around with the latch for 15-20 minutes, tried to reset the latch with a screwdriver. Watched several Youtube videos to help troubleshoot. The cable tension seemed fine. I was beating my head against a wall :frusty:

    Then I looked past the latch to the return spring and saw this...

    Yup...a little rock got stuck underneath the latch spring.
