I use it for airing up and down. Doing 2 tires at a time is pretty nice. Pressure is also equalized between the connected tires.

is an ARB onboard compressor really worth the money or will a cheaper one off Amazon work fine?

Compressor will be used for tires as well as pressurizing a 6 gallon water tank eventually

I have this one. It is fine but look at that tire stem connection in the picture. You have to screw it on and off. The threads are fine so it takes a lot of turns. There is no press connect like filling stations use. Just an FYI

The viair is threaded also, but it is not difficult to get on or off

Depends on how much you use it, but I love my ARB. Viair makes good stuff as well.

Its great if you are looking for true on board air, but even the viair can be mounted under the hood or in the cab.

FWIW if running tires bigger than 265/70 or 265/75's I would go with something bigger than the 88p Like the 300 or 400 model. 88p works great for me but gets super hot and takes a fair amount of time inflating my 265/70/17s. Anything bigger than that would be a bit of a struggle and warrant the upgrade.

Agreed, 33's are about as far as you want to take the 88 model.

Shoot. Maybe I'll just suck it up and go to the ARB single tank compressor kit

Wait so if I go the ARB onboard route and try to mount it under the hood I have a TRD Sport which has that stupid thing in the way on the upper left corner. Where do I mount it?

Ps. The only reason I got the Sport was because it was $32,500. Otherwise I would've gotten the off-road. Just for all you neigh sayers out there

Interested in airing down multiple tires at once.
The squat around all 4 is bullshit

How long does it take you to air down? Not long right?

Takes longer than I'd like. Cutting it in half would be great. Maybe 8 or 9 minutes total

    would be nice.

I actually timed how long it took to air up and down with my phone stopwatch. I primarily go off that now.

Is the double tank ARB compressor worth it?
