I'm not talking about rooted trees in front, I'm talking about trees/branches laying crosswise or hanging out into the trail. Also, DEFINITELY better for animal impacts.

You're right...a save-the-truck stinger on these Tacos doesn't really exist, but frankly I'd never run one of they did. They have to be so godly oversized and fugly to be functional it ain't worth it.

Another plus to a hoop is driving light protection if you mount some on the bumper.

Whatchoo know about trees anyway Jersey man?! I thought all yer Tacos up there are submersible!

I think it's very obvious that truck doesn't get used for what it's dressed up to imply it gets used for. Don't get me wrong - looks nice, cleanly set up with respectable parts. But no truck with that kind of showroom shine sees hard wheeling. Or it hasn't yet, at any rate.

I do about 1mph and if my tires drop off into a rut I either back out or go forward depending on the height of the drop. So far my gut instinct has done me good. The 3 times I swamped it and got water in the cab was at meets and I was being a jackass. I also keep an eye on what size tires and tread went into the holes before me and I look (if possible) to see if there are any ruts from people getting yanked out on both sides of the hole. 90% of the time I'm tracking another truck with tires that aren't aggressive. If I get stuck following a lesser tire then I just can't drive :D

It does get the blood flowing in winter when the ice is frozen over and you drop through 1/2 way over them.

I have plenty of gear to get me out manually if I need to + trees are easy to find for anchors.
