    A little but not really.
    One thing not mentioned in this old thread is that you can use the hoop to hold a tow strap or chain. I also use a chain to pull dead trees off the trail and then hang it from the hoop for the next tree. One time I was on a trail and didn't have any shackels to hook my chain onto my front bumper so I just wrapped it around the hoop to pull a tree off the road.
