Good, maintaining friends is too hard.

 

For anyone who can't let live with their 3rd Gen, sell it and buy a low mileage 2015 while they're still plentiful. The 4 litre and 5 speed auto is bullet proof. Don't complain, do something. Whining won't solve anything, it is what it is.

 

I wish I'd gotten the manual.

My only consolation is I did get the DCLB.

 

Or a brand new Frontier Pro-4x. Bullet proof, more powerful and better equipped than a 2nd gen Tacoma.

 

I hate to whine so much, if that's what you choose to call it, but maybe enough of us whining might get something done. You know, like a frame rust recall - never mind that though, since it was class-action with lawyers. But what about the first and second transmission TSBs..? Those things weren't volunteered by Toyota - they only came after enough people whined and Toyota realized there were legitimate issues.

I'd like to call it feedback. And I hope Toyota corporate creeps around these sites. Enough to know that there are people who know this truck isn't what it could be.

 

Feedback is good, it's the same folks who jump in and keep preaching about how bad all the 3rd gen Taco's are. And that's just not accurate. There are issues with some of these trucks, and those issues we all want addressed.
