Hoping to find another

I'm new to this forum but I'm good at forums in general.

After regretfully selling my 96 regular cab, 4x4, 5spd 2.7, back in 2007, I'm now looking for a replacement. I miss that truck.

I'm hoping to find an Xtra cab, V6, 5spd, 4x4 pickup in the next month or so.

So far, I found a 97 with 96,000 miles in burgundy for 9,000. Clean title. Excellent condition. All maintenance. Is that the going rate?
Update: The guy refused to smog the truck. Then I saw the 4 failures on the DMV site. California is NOT negotiable in this area.


It seems like a lot but all the new trucks are bloated massive gas hogs.

Thanks guys. Im not looking outside the Bay Area. Sure, I'd like a nice Tacoma, but I won't spend a tank of gas to get it, nor should I have to. Several hundred thousand of these trucks were made about 20 miles from me.

 

I did it!!!
A 1999 4x4 5spd Xtra Cab V6 in Horizon Blue. $8,600

Lowest Smog numbers I've ever seen. Clean title. No rust of any kind. No faded paint.
All original paint with a bunch of small dings. The entire front end and roof are perfect. The rest can be pushed out by Malcom, my dent guy. Fair maintenance history with no off-road use. I even got the manual windows I wanted.

Needless to say, I'm very excited.
