I have a 2000 Toyota Tacoma that burns a fuse everytime I push the horn. This fuse is shared with the flashers so naturally they go out too. After going through 4 fuses I have determined that the flashers will operate just fine as long as I leave the horn alone. My guess is that the horn is the culprit but I'm not sure if this is a grounding problem or where to start. The truck was purchased 2 years ago as a totalled/reconstructed just for additional information. I am open to any advice on where to start or ideas regarding what could be wrong.

unplug the horn and hit the button. if it blows the fuse then the problem is in the harness or switch. if the fuse is still good then replace the horn

Thank you for your response. I found the horn and upon disconnecting it realized that the connections are pretty corroded. With some cleaning I reconnected the horn. Sure enough it worked. Thrilled I can honk like the rest of these Louisiana drivers.
