    I have a 1999 Taco Ext Cab yesterday my cruise control and horn quit working. checked fuses all good and wires good too. Help me please.

    yes my steering rod got replaced why would it have anything to do with my cruise and horn?

    the clockspring or spiral cable is basically a wiring harness for your airbag, cruise and horn. it can only be turned so many turns each direction before the wires inside of it break.what probably happened was when the steering rod was out of the vehicle the wheel was probably spun passed this springs threshold. was it done at a shop?

    Very, very old thread, I think I've read 50 old threads today. Many are filled with tips and tricks but in at least 50% of them either the OP or others with a similar issue never came back to post the solution. I wish people would come back to their posts and let everyone know what they ended up doing to fix it, sometimes they find something we rarely see but it would be nice to know what that was... New but similar thread coming up!! :deadhorse:
