Hello TW, so my horn and cruise control have not been working for a while now. Finally I decided to buy a $27 clock spring off eBay. I just put it in and bam cruise works. Go to test the horn and that doesn't work. Checked fuses, all good. Switched the relay and it still didn't work. Maybe I bought a defective clock spring?? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Did you hook the wire back? I've seen it happen before

I've never needed my horn... But if so... it would be good to have.

Might be the spiral cable. My horn worked like 1/10 times and this resolved the issue. Part # 84306-0E010

The horn has a single wire that connects to the spiral cable with a spade connector. If you didn't connect it the horn will not work.

You can also use this wire to test the horn circuit. Open up the steering wheel and ground that wire and the horn should blow.

Yes I remember when I hooked the wire back into the air bag it would not go in very well. I did not get that click noise like you should when you plug it in. Thank you and sorry for the late reply

Yes it does. Yes, all have a horn wire that connects through the spiral cable It provides a ground to complete the circuit for the horn relay coil.

It sounds like you forgot to connect it back up. As you can see it is green with a red stripe. Connects to the spiral cable to ground when you press the horn button.

The ground wire goes from the steering wheel back to the horn relay coil terminal. It has a spade terminal on one end and plugs into the center pad area where the air bag is located.

Got it working earlier today. The cruise control stopped working when I got it. The owner before me did not know what he was doing so he bought a new cruise control tree, I remember him telling me that. And he got a new cruise control cord that went from that to the spiral cord. I think it was for the 2012-2015. And it did not have the ground wire for the horn. So I remembered he had a cord and I had it in my glovebox and it was the stock ground wire, which has the ground wire cord if that makes sense. So plugged it in and it actually worked. How lucky lol. Thanks for all the help!!!!

Yes, it makes perfect sense. It will never work without a ground wire. Glad to help where ever I can.
