Can relocating the horns make them sound different? (more high pitch/cheesy)? I relocated the to the bottom center of the grille area...on that note is there an aftermarket north I could buy that is more manly/louder without having to install inboard air?....pics of my horn relocation to come...I'll also double check the wiring connection when it gets light out. Any help would be great!

I dont think it would change the pitch of the actual horn. But it may sound diferent inside the truck to you because of the placement. (louder or softer)

When I moved mine it was louder because I moved them to the driver side fender to the pre drilled holes.

They're louder if you take the little covers off them

I think its because they use the screw in the back as a ground. When I moved them behind the bumper I used the pre-existing holes and the horn sounded weak and high pitched. So I removed some of the paint around where I mounted it and that seemed to make it sound normal.

I relocated to the Drivers side also and took off the covers. No grounding issues when I did it though, they sound the same to me. Make sure you peel out the temp sensor wire when you reroute the wires so you get the proper temp reading on your upper console.

I picked up a set of horns from the JY for $5 and added them to the existing horns. They are now loud with a distinctive tone. LOL

I'm gonna get the same kind of horns I had on my wrx. Hella horns. 118 db, loud as spit! Have to see if I can mount them behind the grill like I did on the subie.

I just did mine last night when I installed my light bar and a pair of Hella 500s. Now my horn from inside my truck sounds like squeezing the fart out of a mouse. Did you place it here ???
