I have not been very happy with the stock horn on the tacoma and was thinking about swapping it it out,it sounds like it belongs on a sedan not a pickup. I understand how close to d-bag terrority i'm treading and would like to avoid that at all cost. i'm just not sure whats a good decibel level/ or price range is while still being tasteful

any technical help is much appreciated

    much thanks -Matt

You could get a train horn but from what I've seen you can only get them for dodge rams...

I have supertones and they are loud as hell. But if the OP thinks the tone of the stock horns isn't deep enough, then he definitely won't like the supertones.

check out stebel engineered sounds. http://www.stebelengineeredsounds.com/main.html

They make some great horns. I have the magnum combo and the truck air horn. Just waiting for a good day to install.

Search for stebel air horns, there are a lot of good sound clips out there.
