Why exactly do you need to hear the horn beep? Do you enjoy the sound?

I just think its annoying as hell to your neighbors. Pull in at night, lock the truck----HONK. I guess you are that neighbor huh.

    HONK HONK

If you are done crying wipe the tears from your eyes and try this:
Maybe this will turn it back on if it was turned off:

    (a) Open the driver side door and insert the key into the ignition cylinder.
    (b) Remove the key from the ignition cylinder and, within 5 seconds, reinsert the key and turn the ignition switch to ON.
    (c) After 10 seconds, the system enters answer-back buzzer switching mode.
    (d) Within 10 seconds after answer-back buzzer switching mode is started, if a transmitter button (the same button) is pressed twice, the answer-back buzzer setting changes (off to on, or on to off) to activate or disable answer-back by buzzer.

    HINT:
    • The driver side door is closed.
    • The ignition switch is turned off.
    • The key is removed from the ignition cylinder.
    • A transmitter button is not pressed for 10 seconds after answer-back switching mode is started.
    • The transmitter is operated but the second button pressed is different from the first.
    • Answer-back starts.

Perhaps we can agree on something. :) ^^^^^^^^^

When I replied to this originally I didn't look to see what sub-forum it was posted in.

I'm a 3rd Gen Johny come lately Taco owner. Our rides have a low level mild chirp that is audible, yet not overly loud so that others would detect. I made assumptions that you were trying to go beyond this sound.

    My bad.

    My apologies.

I haven't a clue what your factory "lock" sound is on your truck. I made assumptions that you were "that guy" who wanted to do the loud arse beep-beep-beep-beep-beeep in parking lots that makes no sense to me. So dang aggravating.

If your truck comes equipped with zero sound on lock.....then I get where you were headed and wanting some tactile feedback that yer shit was locked.

    I better understand now.

Tweekers across the street, though........dude ? Why ? Man up and run them off never to return. A Louisville Slugger and a kind word will get you much further than a kind word alone. Seriously.....hold your ground. It's your turf. Run those punks outa there.
