(2001 Tacoma SR5 4X4, 2.7Ltr, ext cab) Hello all. So this morning, while parked in my garage, my Tacoma horn just starts blowing nonstop as if someone was pressing in on the steering wheel panel! Thankfully, I was home when it started and I wound up just lifting the ground off the battery to shut it up! I don't see anything listed as "horn" at the engine compartment fuse box cover lable and the interior fuse checks good. Also, pushing in the the steering wheel horn panel feel good and springy. I didn't think to push on the steering wheel panel while the horn was blowing and just went striaght to the battery. I was hoping this would be just an easy relay change out, but dammed if I see one anywhere. Any ideas? -PS- Three hours after lifting the ground on the battery, I reconnected and now everythings working normal, but I'm sure it'll happen again.....

My first thought is a bad clock spring in the steering column.

The fuse for the horn is located in the fuse panel inside the truck.
Is Labeled JB No. 1 in the diagram below.

Disconnect the battery and take the horns out for the time being.
There are two positioned in front of the radiator, one on the far left, one almost in the middle.

Thanks, From this diagram, there doesn't appear to be any Relay anywhere. Just power straight from the battery to the ECU then clock switch and then on to the horn.

    That is correct.
And pulling the Horn fuse will kill the Hazzard lights.

You have 2 options. Unplug the horn.
Or figure out what is causing it to blow.

It's probably the horn pad doing something wonky. Take it off and look at the springs that provide the ground for the circuit
