Hey all! I'm not too much of a car guy but I've been trying to figure out how to fix my horn. It's been broken as long as I've had it and I know that it's not the fuse. Got any ideas? It's a 2003 Silver Tacoma Base model 4 Cyl 2.4L Ext. Cab. Also when pressing the horn, a clicking sound can be heard from the driver side dashboard

All kinds 3 inch body lift/2 1/2 suspension lift. 31/11 1/2/15 tires All work done by myself for years. The only work performed by mechanic was fuel pumps. I also have a 90 Mustang 350 hp and I can never understand how come my Tacoma gets more respect Just got a 99 Jeep TJ that I rebuilt, and painted in the garage
Horn relay maybe....Look up/Google your year where the horn relay is. Push the horn andcarefully follow the sound to the click. You can do it with some patience

I'll give it a try and see if I can work out where exactly the issue is.

It does not, it is a 5-speed manual transmission so don't know if that's even possible.

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
horns do fail on older trucks.

Time to get a simple multimeter and test for voltage at the horn with a helper closing the switch.

    Best of luck.

    "Search" is your friend.

I just posted the diagram for horns on a 4 or 5 days ago. Maybe that might help you find the open wire or perhaps a defective horn relay.

This is going to sound stupid, but make sure it's actually wired in. The previous owner of my truck had cut the horn wires for some reason, and I had to trace them to where they were cut and re solder them back together. If the horn on the 4 cylinder is the same as the 6, then the horn behind the grille on the passenger side, and the wires come from the same harness as the passenger turn signal, and are wrapped in a thick foam insulator. This is where mine were cut.
