So I bought my truck a couple months ago and first off, I love the truck. But the truck has weak spots.. So I got the 2012 without the touch screen and the antenna reception is horrible. I've never heard a worse radio in any vehicle I've ever owned. I need to fix this shit. I'm very good at anything mechanical and have no issues looking up what I need to do to upgrade but my audio skills suck and I've never had to upgrade a system before.

I replaced the stock front speakers with Pioneer TS-A1675R. Which sound better but still not great. The audio sounds good through bluetooth and XM just not FM. I'm kinda wanting to do a sub setup but my truck is an access cab. Should I just replace the head unit? Or should I take it in for warranty work? I really would like someone to chime in that has had the same issues. Thanks guys..

Check to make sure the antennae is tightened to its mount, and you might want to check the connection at the rear of the head unit.
