Depends, if you are sitting idle most of the time 13 mpg can be expected.

DannyD, Im avg on my 2013 Double Cab sport about 20 mpg using non-ethanol gas (80% hwy / 20% city). With E10 or E15 ethanol-gas, Im avg 18 mpg. I have about 10k+ miles on it so Im curious to know how many miles you have on your vehicle.

I have 14,000km on it. Maybe it's the shitty Canadian gas. I use chevron 87 octane

Most tanks, I get, TRD double manual 6spd, between 15-17 mpg with mostly city folk driving on streets that go up to 45 and I drive to work by 5:30 and home around 3 so traffic is fairly light and I hit maybe 2-3 red lights on the way (about 10 miles one way). I have been over 17 with quite a bit of highway miles or getting off the gas as I approach a stop and coasting to the light (as if I have a hybrid). But I didn't buy the truck for the mpg so I'm ok with the mpg. I can't wait to raise it and get worse but ride higher.

Update - for my newfie buddies - approaching 8000km now, spring is here and I can easily get 450km per tank, over 500 if highway driving. Works out to between 12.5 - 13.5 l/100k (17 - 19 usmpg) on average. Changed back to regular unleaded (87) and saw a boost in mileage.

i recently got 26.5 MPG on a 600 km hwy trip , are you guys figuring by the Imperial gallon or American ? the only way i can see getting that poor fuel mileage is if you are going 130 kmh + on the hwy or most of your driving is stop and go traffic in town ....weird .

Thanks for the update. I am still using no ethanol gas (Esso Supreme) and I got 493km's out of my last tank with 6L left to spare. That was about 80/20 City/Highway. So still driving like grandma, coasting to stops, neutral where ever possible I was able to get 16.4MPG (US)

ISPEED Are you saying 26 miles per US gallon? With the V6? Unless you were driving on a perfectly flat highway at 45MPH consistently, Im not sure how that is even possible in this truck unless it's being towed. :p

    Wow, 12mpg

My 2010 DC OR 4x4 with six speed is getting 18.2-18.3 mpg just normal driving. Not trying to baby it.

yeah i was driving in northern ontario on my way from Alberta to Nova Scotia and that was in Imperial (canadian) gallons , it was a 6000 km trip and i was getting about 21mpg when the temps were below zero but it had warmed up that day to +13c and that seemed to make the difference , in was on HWY 11 from Nipigon to Cochrane Ontario.

Did something wrong with my calculations. I was using the spec sheet to calculate how much I was using in a full tank. But when I went to fill up I was about 3.5 gallons short of that. So...

450km on a full tank (I used 66L) is roughly 16mpg, Thats what Im getting with my reguler driving. An extra 50km will bring it up to 18mpg, that should be reachable as I do drive pretty heavy and lots of stop and go around here, damn stop lights. My road trips are through the mountains so hard to tell what I would get driving purely on the highway.

Anybody seeing low numbers, check your calculations like I did lol

450 km using 66 liters equals 19.2 mpg imperial.

Just bought the 2013 DBLC and I noticed my first tank I got was over 400kms with a little less the quarter tank now on my second tank of gas on the quarter mark and sitting at 330kms.. Feel like she's going to be thirsty until we get over the break in period.

I remember my fuel economy was bad over the break in but just got back from a road trip to the mountains (all highway) and got about 12.4/100km on the way there and 11.5l/100km(20.4mpg) on the way back, i think i was around 15-16l during the break in (my truck is at 5,000 clicks now)

Not sure where your from but i see in the 12-13mpg's in the cold months here in the northeast, its been really cold this winter. I drive all city and run a 2.5" lift on 32" LT tires. After having my truck for the second winter according to my Fuelly.com stats my mpg's go to shit in the cold months and i see 14.5-15.5 in the warm months depending on AC use. I have come to see the 4.0L drinks fuel. I run synthetic fluids and maintain the truck to oem specs, pretty much i take very good care of it. Face it these trucks are not fuel efficient :D

Been getting better as it breaks in. Last three tanks have been 19.5-20mpg.
