Hey guys, I have what is probably a dumb question, but I just bought a new 2011 base Tacoma and it's great, but I get horrible radio reception ( one station comes in very weakly) so decided to take a look at the antenna, and discovered that there isn't one. Just the base with the screw-in threads to accept an antenna. I pulled up photos on new Tacoma's online and they all apparently come this way. Is it up to the new owner to install their own antenna, and if so what is the best one and where do you get it? Thanks!

Someone probably swiped it on the lot.

Mine came with an antenna. I'd call your dealership up and let them know you are missing your antenna.

I have never heard of any type of vehicle not coming with an antenna. I would call up your dealer or better yet stop by. Thats crazy.

If you're in a bad area it's likely that the dealership removes the antennas from vehicles on the lot so they don't get stolen. Probably just forgot to reinstall on your truck during pre-delivery prep.

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
Make sure you've got a gas cap, too!

You know thats funny I never noticed that. While your truck should have come with one afaik, a TON of the promotional shots out there show the truck without one.

    How weird is that.

I think they do that just to give it a clean look. An antenna is not the best looking thing on any vehicle.

Haha ya they would hate my truck for promotion. A 40 inch dual-band antenna going on there shortly!
