Typing and texting are two totally differant things. You type on a forum and you text on your mobile device. When you switch it up it makes you look like you are uneducated.:)

me personally...i like ttora, and customtacos, and here

i frequent those boards quite a bit and ive learned quite a bit from all of them

they all have their purposes and they dont all suit all the needs of every tacoma owner out there

TTORA is geared to the offroad/wheeling community, while CT is geared more towards aesthetic upgrades/stereos/minitrucks

TW seems to be a good mix and from what i can tell a lot of people who dont want to overly modify their vehicles, but rather, make the truck more suitable to them...in whatever way that is

I joined TTORA back in 1999 - it was a lot smaller back then and was only for Tacomas (similar to TacomaWorld). I was Vice President for the PA Chapter for a couple years and organized events & such. It was GREAT!!! That's where I got my offroad itch in my 96 tacoma. Back then - tacomas had only been out for 4 years.....so you know the site was really small, friendly, and helpful similar to TacomaWorld.

That was 8 years ago - and since then, they've exploded to include all toyota 4WD vehicles. That's probably close to 20 years (or more) of production vehicles. There's a lot of people on that forum. And I'll agree with you - there's a lot of ignorant people who don't respect the *newbies* and can't keep their mouths shut (instead of actually helping someone).

You gotta word questions a certain way - hard to explain - and ignore the BS posts. If you don't get any legitimate answers - use the search button or go somewhere else.

ToyotaNation has some *attitude junkies* also. I haven't seen any here on TacomaWorld - but if the site gets any bigger, they're bound to show up eventually. As a whole - we gotta help eachother out and keep the junkies on the sidelines.

I think you will find that local chapters of TTORA are more forgiving and less rude than the national forum. I would recommend trying that over the national boards. The Washington State chapter is very cool and helpful .
It's as least as freindly as TW - which rocks!

I agree about the attitude junkies. We would really like to keep this place a civil as possible and the negative banter about other sites to a minimum. If anyone notices someone starting to get an attitude or being overly rude and/or flaming another site please report the post so we can handle it. Thanks.

Yes, Rob has done a fantastic job with WATTORA. Welcome to TW DREAD. BTW I've seen some pics of your Tacoma:devil::devil::devil:

I like any toyota site, some more than others so I frequent those sites more often. I take what I need and leave the rest, just like the real world. :D

So many good responses here!

I'm not trying to be a dick but it would help out alot if you checked your grammar. it may be easier and faster for you to type but it takes way longer for us to read and try to figure out what you're saying.

I'm not even sure I understand how it's easier or faster to type like that. My brain certainly doesn't process the English language that way, but maybe it's just because that's not how I learned it. I can type well over 100 words a minute, and it would certainly slow me down to type like that.

I weep for the youth of today. People like you are so lazy they cannot take the extra second to type a complete word. By the way, since when is “sight” easier to type than the correct word site? Please learn the English language, if spelling is difficult for you, use spell check. After reading two of your posts, I have the impression that you are stupid and lazy. If at seventeen years old simple grammar has not been taught to you, then I suggest you find a nice job flipping burgers, as this is the best you have to look forward to.
