This isn't another "I hate my Tacoma and I'm going to stick it to Toyota" thread, so don't worry. I love my truck.

I have noticed, since the high summer temps have hit, a sound of plastic expanding or rubbing together or something like that for the first few minutes after I get into the hot vehicle.

It goes away once everything inside cools down.

    Has anyone else noticed this?

It sounds like it's coming from left of the steering column, around the far left air vent. I can't make it stop by applying pressure anywhere.

Yeah ive heard this and its completely normal. Really the only way to not have this happen is to have big fitment gaps that would look terrible.

As long as nothing rattles while going down the road im happy. Its already much much quiter than my wrx!
