Hot Wheels

This is my favorite Hot Wheel that I have.
In my area (NE Ohio) all the stores are picked over quick. There are guys who rush through the front doors when they open just to grab these things before anyone can see them. Most wind up at flea markets and swap meets at inflated prices. They will strip the Hot Wheels display and pick through it in another aisle. They even know when the displays are being restocked or have an employee keep a stash for them in back. One guy told me he hides a lot of them elsewhere in the store and gets them when he needs more to sell. I have even seen them fighting over who was there first. Its rare anymore when I do find something.
Does this happen in other areas? I wont pay $10 for something that cost $3 in the store.

 

It happens here in New England too. Can't really say with all the cars but definitely with the vw bugs and buses. You can find the M2 bus but not Hot Wheels. Those everybody is selling at the shows. I can see why that one is your favorite. that's real nice! love the red fade into the yellow.

Have not seen any of these in NE Ohio. Im seeing Johnny Lightnings and others on this page besides Hot Wheels. I got 30+ years of that stuff sitting around. Ill be back.

 

Pair of Muscle Machines Anglia's. There's a third engine variation I'm keeping an eye out for. I like these.

it was discussed many pages back about changing the title of this thread. we all posted many different types of cars. I say post them all.

 

Box is beat to hell but I got a good deal on what was the last Charles Leclerc scale model I could find at the track. Will go in a matching case like the rest of mine anyways.

 

Grateful Dead vw. Still need this one with the orange wheels.

 

Johnny lightning also had a Grate Ful Dead bus that was pretty cool. Remember seeing someone on here posted a picture of it way back.

I gotta get out there one year for the Grand Prix. That's one of two races I must see in person. The other being Indy. They are both written on the To-do list on our fridge at home.

 

Come on down man, its pretty bad ass to watch!! We love going to Moto GP, also.

I've the the Canadian grand prix and the race in Singapore on my before I'm dead list.

 

M2 Coca Cola 1/64 vw bus trailer and bug set.

 

That is a neat set. Hopefully they will have it in my area.
