Hot Wheels

Not all of these are Hot Wheels, but this is my fleet of Hot Wheels-scale cars as of now:

Toyota Tacoma, Audi RS6 Avant, Mini Cooper Countryman, Audi Sport Quattro.

Subaru Sambar, Nissan Skyline GT-R R32, Datsun 510 wagon, Subaru Crosstrek.

 

A few more models. The 2) 40 Fords are the same kit built different ways. The Black one is a tubbed and slammed blown drag car I built 25 years ago. The blue one is more recent and built as a Gasser.

 

So it’s been an ongoing joke with my wife and kids that if anything happens to me she’s going to open an eBay store and sell all of my collection. So my kids bought her this sign for her store profile.

 

Hot Wheels Wednesday Week 03

I really hope the city doesn't tear this house down. There was talk that if the owner didn't restore it they would demo it because the city wants retail space there. Opelika is removing so many historic buildings. I'm sick of it. Note the empty lot to the right. A house removed for "Retail Space" but it's been an empty grass lot for 15 years at least.

Got to keep the Gasser thing going. The 65 Galaxie was done 6 or 7 years ago. It was a Fred Lorenzon kit originally. The KS Pittman 40 Willys is a recent build. .

 

It would be a shame if they tear down historical buildings.

I remember those. I think they were mid 1970s.
The models here are 37 Chevrolet Gassers and a 33 Willys. The Blue 37 was a built 3 or 4 years ago. The other 37 and 33 were built in the 1980s. The Chevy kits are the same after 30 years.
