Hot Wheels

Got 2 of the 65 Fords from when they first came out, one is aqua and white and the other is red. They are pretty nice pieces. Good find.

 

64 Impala that I saved from being a low rider with a swap of tires and rims. The Mustang was built as is, I could not improve it anymore than it already was. Both of these cars are metal 1/24 scale.

 

Two more from the Greenlight camouflage set. 1/64 vw bug and 23 window bus.

 

You need to add Army stars to both and fab two radio whip antennas to the back bumper of that bus

 

Got a case from china. Actually real nice quality on first inspection. Now I need to fill it out.

Something a little different

 

yeah. not a fan of Dodges or Superbirds but this was just too cool.

 

I remember years ago seeing a Dodge transporter like that at James Hyltons race shop in South Carolina that he drove to Nascar events when he was racing. I also remember asking him about the trophies he won at Richmond and Talladega and he took me into a room that had a washer and dryer and dug them out from under a pile of dirty clothes. So much for having things like that proudly displayed.

 

I see some tire rub on the Z28. The rear springs need re-positioned. These are all 1/24 metal cars. The Z28 got a wheel swap and nothing else. The 37 Ford is untouched. The Mach 1 is also all original and dead on for detail. I just cleaned out my parts boxes this afternoon and got it down to 4 12 x 18 x 4 boxes. One is engines ect. Another is just tires and wheels and the other 2 are bodies / chassis and what ever. 40 years of collecting pieces and parts. I threw out about as many parts.

 

Love the Mach 1! Had a '73 irl...

 

Tire rub is ok, keeps it from rolling off the shelf.
