I went to Wally World looking for Christmas gifts. Skimmed through sporting goods looking for ammo and hit the toy section.
Hmmm....,new Hot Wheels Toyota Trucks?

I guess I’ll add these to the Toyota truck wall in the man cave.

Anyone know if this was the only Toyota truck in the new Hot Wheels or do they have a bunch of variants?

Been debating on whether or not i should order a few of them.

 

The F100 is a decent kit that I modified with a Jada die cast wheels . The 69 Galaxie is a basket case I saved minus the hood. It is a very old kit from the 70s that was partially built and missing parts. I bought for $3. I had everything but the hood to fix it. I Pro Street-ed it so the missing hood wouldn't matter as much. The Drag on Lady AMX is a very rare Johann kit that I traded one of my artist prints for. Its beyond saving so I weathered it some and will leave as is. You seldom see anything by Johan anymore for less than $50 a pop. I have about 30 of them that I bought when they were still available.

 

It's pretty cool. Has a shifter cart inside it haha. Really neat touch

 

Hot Wheels Wednesday Week 52!

Merry Christmas!

 

Hopefully everyone will have a nice Christmas and stay safe. I see Toyota Crawler is at it again. Very nice.

 

Managed to pick up the maroon Chevy Nova Station Wagon Gasser from Hot Wheels yesterday. They just stocked the shelves. I didnt care for the black rims so I bare metal foiled them this morning and will get a few pictures of it soon to post.

 

Sorry I hit post reply when I was still uploading, The black Beetle was a junk yard save, It was a mess to begin with and I combined parts from a Pro Street GNX to finish that build. Its not pretty but its cool. Thats a 455 stuffed in it . The Road Runner is a good example of what not to do when painting models. I tried to clear coat the orange molded plastic and it looks like orange primer now. Did that 10-12 years ago. The late model Camaro and Corvette are factory promos that AMT would make for the dealerships to pass out to new car buyers. The older ones are worth a lot. I grab them when I see them at yard sales and estate sales.

 

That’s pretty sweet! You do a great job with customizing these models. I don’t have the patience for it. I have a model vw bug a friend gave me he bought at some auto swap. I should send it to you for Christmas.
