A good friend bought me this about 15 years ago. Been sitting on a shelf in the basement and forgot I had it until looking at that bad ass bug RLMoody posted. Someone had already started on it. Think I just might put it together this summer.

William 63 needs to get some Testors model glue and finish that build. Id leave the colors alone and just detail it with a silver and black sharpies and maybe a little flat black for the running boards. That would be very easy to finish up. The model boxes and instructions are desirable as well. I have held on to most of mine. If the build was not started I would say not to do anything with it but its started so finish it.
Monogram has always made great model kits. They were bought out by Revell and Revell's quality improved dramatically from that merger.
Every time I run across a VW I wonder if William 63 has it. Diecastmodelswholesale.com has a whole section just for Volkswagens.
    Merry Christmas everyone!

Although I’ve never bought a model, I do have a few of them friends have bought for over the years.

Just realized that VW kit is 1/16 scale not 1/24 like the others out there.

Last year I started my HW Wed week on Jan 1 which was a Wednesday so technically this year had 53 weeks to it because of leap year....I think. Last week was week 52. Still on the fence about doing another year. We'll see I guess. I may find something for tomorrow I dunno.

Here are a few more from my collection. The CRX is a Japanese kit I picked up at a yard sale. I added the Porsche Targa wheels and Nascar exhaust. The Pro Stock Camaro and Firebird are basket cases. They built out nice but the decals were a mess to work with. Both are "parked" in the junk yard and more than likely will be doners for a future projects. This is the downside to building kits, Sometimes you dont get the results you were going after. Those kits are 10 years old and I still haven't gutted them out yet.Dec 20 pics 065.jpg Dec 20 pics 066.jpg Dec 20 pics 068.jpg Dec 20 pics 070.jpg Dec 20 pics 072.jpg Dec 20 pics 077.jpg Dec 20 pics 074.jpg Dec 20 pics 074.jpg

Don't let it become a chore. Post what you want, when you want. Hot Wheels should be fun!

Yes I agree completely. I was surprised at how difficult it was to come up with a new picture every week. Some weeks obviously better than others. Working from home presented it's own challenges but I think we can all attest to the fact this year has been challenging.
