Anybody have any cars/track parts they are looking to get rid of?

 

I have been collecting Matchbox since I was a kid (10 or 11 years old). I always thought they had more prestige/value than Hot Wheels. As I grew older I realized this was not the case. The original Matchbox were all replicas of actual production vehicles, Hot Wheels came along and put out 'hot rods' which were more desirable to kids than the Matchbox.
Matchbox company has since gone thru a few different owners and is now (to my latest knowledge) owned by Mattel which also owns Hot Wheels.

 

Had to go to Toys R Us yesterday for my nephews birthday present

Ended up getting 10 cars for $9

 

Have to give a shout out to @loosnut becuase this thing is awesome!! Has really nice weight to it. Happens to be my favorite color Hook'em AND is the year model I was born

Had no idea that this thread exists. Today I picked up boxes filled with new on card hot wheels that I hope to be able to trade or sell. I’ll post pictures soon.

 

Get them posted. My kid collects them maybe he'll buy some.

 

I will, I collected Porsche castings only but ended up with heaps of others as they often came as part of a bundle deal from eBay and the like. Stopped collecting in 2002, have heaps of blue cards and other older stuff. Hope to trade for the Porsche cars that I’ve mossed since then and just sell the rest.

 

Yes I do , my Father started before I was born he started when they first came out in 1968 gave me his collection when I was born in 1972 and still collect till this day , started collections for my boys when they were born early 2000 have over 30,000 in collection

 

I liberate everything I keep - yes, even genuine redlines - and sort them by casting inteoduction and then paint/wheel/variation/error. Still have some holes to fill from the time I was seriously collecting as well as getting caught up. There are some customs in there too. Friends son was playing with spektraflame paint and I gave him some cars to do, I think they look awesome.

I still have some of my originals from '67-68.
Yep ,I was around when they came out.
The ones that didn't survive were usually blown up with M-80's and other fun stuff.

 

I still have mine from the good ole days.
Along with slot cars.

 

Guilty as charged....Still have the collection started by my Mom and have continuously added to it

Grand kids dig them out when they come to visit and they have their own collections we have started...

Bill Elliots McDonalds Nascar transport,Mark Martins Vavoline Transport and every Peterbilt truck version they have built.....

When I finally catch up with my bar area they will be displayed...
