There just aren't any shipments. We all know why but I won't go there. At some point the dam will break and Hot Wheels will hit the shelves with fury. Hopefully....

Still need to finish the wood but I couldn't wait to load it up. These are all Matchbox except the Semis... hope that doesn't get me kicked out of this Hot Wheels thread! Haha!

Seems like around here there has been a good supply, started to see some 2022 cars last month.
Folks are really buying the crap out of these.
Was a 3x3 foot bin/box and a round barrel full plus the end of an isle stacked with multi rows of cars... hard to pick and choose, cars falling off the rack. Around x-mas.

Now its down to about 1/3 cars on that end rack and both the bins are history... is a section about of 4 cards wide and 6-7 cards tall. Plus more, 9 packs and the semi's and others, M2 and MBX.

I swing by about every 2-3 weeks, looks like 64 scale cars are a popular thing.

Good old Weird Mart. Our grocery stores look worse.
Got money to spend and nothing to spend it on.
Guess I'll have to look and see what else I can buy for my Tacoma instead.

Update from my previous post here

[IMG]IMG_0783 by Mike M, on Flickr
[IMG]IMG_0784 by Mike M, on Flickr

Revised the cases again. Since the last update I've removed the following:
    • Bburago Viper GTS
    • Bburago Corvette C5
    • Maisto Ferrari 348
    • Maisto 1999 Mustang
    I've then added:
    • The Fast and the Furious - Johnny Tran's black S2000
    • 2 Fast 2 Furious - Suki's Pink S2000
    • 2 Fast 2 Furious - Slap Jack's Supra
    • 2 Fast 2 Furious - Orange Julius's RX-7
This effectively completes the first movie cars minus Dom's Charger. The Ertl version isn't great. The Hot Wheels Elite version is amazing, but they trade in the $300 range and I just don't care quite that much to do it. I'm one shy of the 2 Fast 2 Furious cars minus the Camaro and Challenger which are also kinda eh for me. I've already got a 1969 Camaro in 1/18 and if I was going to do a Challenger for my collection I'd rather Kowalski's. The Eclipse Spyder is the missing 2F2F car, but they trade in the $300 range and I just don't care that much. If I found one sub-$150 I'd immediatley hit buy.

Solido is releasing a pair of stock Supras sometime this year, one in red with a fixed roof and one in white with a targa top. I'm buying those two since they'll be new (and cheap!) and calling it good. I still have Ebay alerts set for the Kyosho cars (RX-7, Supra) and the Spyder, but short of one of those coming in low, I'm done with a small exception list. If they did an 84-95 4WD Hilux, 84-89 4Runner, 90-93 Accord or whatever WRX matches whatever WRX I decide to get in the future I might do something.

Someday I'll replace the 6-position case with a 12-position case and then bring back all the ones I've put in storage, but for now I'm out of room so I'm calling it good.

    Thanks for looking!

Our Walmart took advantage of the empty racks and moved the whole display back over by the bike racks like it used to be where it is full view and not tucked in the back corner like they had it. I think they are anticipating inventories returning even though it is still empty right now.

Neat little Datsun 620 pickup. It is a 1/24 AMT kit that is stock except for a wheel swap.
The garage display cases are cars leaving or so I thought. I put several back in the house. I need the space but not ready to let them go. The Ohio George 33 Willy's will be repainted and the Honda CRX has a wheel swap planned after the decals are removed. The 1/64 blue and white 69 F100 just got whitewalls today which made the difference. I see new shelving in the near future.
To make matters worse I just ordered 2 more 1/24s and 5 1/64s. Oh well.architecture Taco world 232.jpg architecture Taco world 249.jpg architecture Taco world 251.jpg architecture Taco world 252.jpg architecture Taco world 253.jpg

Hot Wheels 2020 Los Angeles Collectors Convention in yellow. Might have to replace this because of a good size chip in the rear fender. Hopefully the price has gone up to much.

Was that shipped to you like that? You should be getting prefered customer treatment not something like that.

One of the local Walmarts had a case D that came in today. Looks like things are starting to get back to normal.

Pretty sure it wasn’t like that when I got it. Had it for a little while now and I left it on the kitchen counter to take a picture to post on here. Just been real busy and it’s been there a week or so. Don’t want to blame the wife but she has knocked a few cars off the table in the past.
