Well it looks like the Hot Wheels and Matchbox cars are slowly but surely getting back on the toy shelves. I scored these three this morning at the Walmart in Corinth, Texas. I hit pure gold scoring a 1991 GMC Syclone. At the time it was introduced, the Syclone was the quickest factory pickup truck in the world. It was produced only one year and it was all black. Not sure why Hot Wheels would paint it blue but whatever....

Yeah it’s a custom my buddy built for me years ago. Baja Bug sitting on a Hot Wheels “Passing Gasser” base. Custom side pipes and wheels.

I love Inno64 cars!! I have so many. I've always been a Honda guy so I mostly collect the Spoon cars.

Like to be, should be, but I really just collect vw bugs. I do have a lot of customs that are not bugs and a few that I bought because they are just to cool.

Just got this MBX EMS set today.
Had a couple HW Premiums, recent buys.

A HW Night Burnerz 5 car set.
And an old MBX station wagon, had 2 kid paint layers, was a sticker that protected the original lime green metallic... was probably a really cool car back in the day.
No date on it but looks like early/mid 1970s. Superfast Mercury No 55 OR 73 (guess 73 might be the date)

1968 Mercury Commuter station wagon from Matchbox I believe. They were number 73 (model number) and there was a second version out there from what I just read. Pretty neat.

These are the last of the cars that were set out in the garage destined for yard sales and swap meets.I couldn't do it and except for the Nomads everything went back in the house. Ill be adding more shelving. The tubbed 46 Ford originally was a police cruiser kit. The white Vette is a promo car that I detailed the trim on. The silver 69 Galaxie Pro Street kit is rare from the 60s. It was partially built and ruined when I found it at a yard sale so I saved it. The hood was beyond saving with it. I just finished the Maverick 63 Dodge Polara. The black decals were all lifting and crumbling after 20 plus years. I removed what I could and sanded the rest off which opened up a neat patina effect. I opted not to repaint the car and swapped the rear wheels. Ill be posting it again later. The Dragon Lady 68 AMX is a old Johann kit that the decals disintegrated on when I got them wet for application. Rather than the kit being a total loss I went with a patina finish. You do what ever you have to to save those old Johann kits.architecture Taco world 255.jpg architecture Taco world 256.jpg architecture Taco world 258.jpg

Does that wagon have two dogs in the back? I know someone selling a lot of old matchbox cars and I’m pretty sure I’ve seen this one.

That red Ford Galaxie in front of the Vette looks pretty cool.

Yup, 2 dogs with their heads hanging out the back.

I have another one thats a cop car, has some traffic cones, a first-aid box and a tool box looking thing in the back.
1971 on the mercury police car.

The one I have is an old Grand Prix Fire Chief.

edit that. It might be an old Ford Galaxie. Has the guy sitting in the front seat.
