Hot Wheels

I started this whole die cast hobby with fire trucks and only recently expanded to all the cool stuff..but a visit to a shop today got me back on fire trucks... and I'll say that if any of you have older fire trucks or ambulances or rescue vehicles that don't interest you any more.. perhaps we can work out a deal.

These were definitely more than the $1 each price I'm accustomed to but these were worth it.

Anyways.. here's what I found and the copyright date on the back of the card/box.

The Cutlass funny car is a 1/24 Monogram kit that came out very nice when I built it 10 years ago. The front engine rail is a 1/24 die-cast and the Sox and Martin GTX is a1/18th scale die-cast. I have 3 Sox and Martin GTX's so you may think you have seen this before. This one was also a good investment. I see them selling now for 4 times what I paid. Ill be doing another shoot soon and will be posting newer stuff.

It’s nice to see Matchbox in your collection. I collected those as a child and into my early 30’s.
Once Mattel bought them Matchbox die cast no longer came with/in a box. I stopped collecting.
I still have them, many of them. I just stopped buying new.

 

Anything rescue related, or mostly fire trucks ambulances and so on..? I have a lot of matchbox Baja bugs that say rescue patrol on them. I posted them many pages back. I think I’ll post most of them again today. Why not it’s Saturday Im home, bored and it’s raining here.

 

Thought this was one of my fire bugs but didn’t notice until I got up here in the light it’s actually a taxi. Posting it anyway. Matchbox hero city.

Not all of them are rescue or patrol bugs but do have lights on the roof.

 

Not rescue but just because they are next to the others and I think they are pretty cool! Hot Wheels 1983 Blazin Bug. One with basic wheels and the other with real riders.

 

Not sure what this says on it? Red like a fire chief but has a blue light on top like a police car. Probably said it on the package but I open a lot of mine. Johnny Lightning 1/64

I did the same. I ship stuff all over the world and constantly have to use Google to verify the language so I can ship correctly. I just had a shipper in China confuse my loading dock to loading dock request with port deliveries. To him a loading dock is something you fish off of apparently. Shipment is still out there somewhere.

 

This is from M.C toy. About a 1/64 size. When you push down on the front the lights flash and plays a siren sound.

 

Evel Knievel color me lucky vw bug. Bought on eBay a few years ago. Glad I didn’t pay a lot for it because they didn’t do that great of a job on it. I think they should have put real riders on it and clear coated it.

 

I think I have a few of those, they're pretty cool.

 

I remember you posting them. I’ve been meaning to change the battery in them. I have the white one that works but this one sounds like it’s dying.
