It must be. It was actually the only Matchbox of any sort on the shelves at a Walmart.

 

Couldn't resist this one on ebay last week.

 

Been working at my company (Andover Corp.) for 35 years now. Yesterday they gave me a few gifts and this custom beetle. Has the company logo on the side and number 35 on the hood for 35 years. Think they know me to well.

35 years with one company. Wow. I got 35 years in, but I had to do it with 2 companies. The first one got bought out just before I rolled 20 years, or I would have been up there with you.
With the economy today and attitudes of companies towards their workers that is quite an accomplishment. My company gave me a clock when I retired. I'd rather have a VW like the one they gave you.
I think that shows how much they think of you.

It’s actually 36 this summer. They couldn’t have everybody together last summer. I thought the car was pretty cool. Gave me a folder with a certificate in it. Probably go in a draw. And a glass statue thing that’s engraved with the company logo, has my name on it and says 35 years of service. Not sure what I will do with that. Seen a lot of changes in the 36 years. Lot of stuff went automated.

Sometimes you just have to pay it forward! Glad everything arrived! The 3rd loose one was from a 5 pack where I wanted something else.. I figured it sorta fit in your scope.

The one thing I am actively looking for is the target exclusive red 83 Chevy truck from this year's release and I just simply refuse to pay e b a y or a m a z o n or trade show prices for a $1 truck! LOL

More 1/18 scale die casts in my collection. A 48-52 Ford F1. A 63 Mercury Marauder and a 1960 Ford Starliner. I washed the grill in the Starliner with diluted paint and thinner. There is also a bad ass 39-40 Willy's Autocar.

Not sure what I’m missing for that price? No gold wheels or bumpers so not a chase set. Forget what they call the green wheels and the toy fair show would have the emblem on the package.
