I occasionally set a random Hot Wheels somewhere around work. No one's figured out it's me. Yet.

I've seen Big Deal carded going for $35 a couple weeks ago at the swap meet. It's my favorite Hot Wheels in my collection.
I recently asked the vultures at the swap meet about the blue premium 87 Tacoma Hot Wheels I saw posted above and nobody has even seen that in this area.
They had to look it up. I make a shopping list of what I see you guys posting so I at least know what to look for. Good luck finding it though.

A few, mainly added skids. I like leaving the suspension alone. I drive forest service dirt roafs in the desert west extremely extremely too fast. Toyota nailed this suspension going 65 across desert terrain. Changing it is dumb unless you have a specific need like crawling or mud.

So I grew up with hotwheels. My mom kept mine, so my boys have a pretty good collection. But we also unbox and play with the ones we keep. The excessive tacoma buying is only because we give them away. I got a lime green taco this year. Here is one we "played with"

I have about 40 cyber trucks we have found. Those we are going to sell to the cybertards, if the cybertard truck ever becomes real.

A couple of weeks ago, my wife and I attended the Hot Wheels Legends Tour in El Segundo (near the Mattel Corp offices). Tons of people showed up, a very kid-friendly event with lots of fun cars to look at. Many had already been created into 1:64 Hot Wheels.

    Mattel press release:

"In partnership with Mobil 1, Walmart and Dickies, the Hot Wheels Legends Tour is back. Celebrating its fifth year, this epic global contest offers builders a unique opportunity to have their passion projects immortalized by Hot Wheels in 1:64th scale.

"The winning build that best exemplifies the judging criteria of creativity, authenticity, and garage spirit will be inducted into the Hot Wheels Garage of Legends, joining previous champions including the 2018-winning 2JetZ™, 2019-winning 1957 Nash Metropolitan, 2020-winning 1970 Pontiac Trans Am, and 2021-winning 1969 Volvo P1800 Gasser.

"Once selected to be reimagined as a die-cast vehicle, the winning fan submission will be available for sale in more than 150 countries around the world."

I snapped a few photos -- you might recognize a few cars:

My first vehicle was a 1978 Chevrolet that someone swapped a 6.2 diesel in, it stayed broke down more than I drove it.
