    Never thought I would see this day. I walked into Walmart in Streetsboro Ohio while going up to Cleveland and the young guy they had working there was just pulling out of the last box the remaining Hot Wheels he was restocking the shelves with. Everything was restocked and I got there before anyone else had the chance. Kind of felt like Kilo Charlie and the luck he has at least for this one time. I asked him about the bronze Corvette gassers, and he had 2 and even knew where he put them. I took those along with a Gray M2 Studebaker pickup Gasser and a white and green M2 Turtle Wax 58 Cameo. I made a mental note to hit my local Walmart earlier on Tuesday mornings and see if my luck changes. Everything except for the Matchbox's were full.

    @RLMoody

    Is this Hays logo on the door just a decal? If so, what's the best way to remove it? Beautiful car just kinda ruined by the big logo.

    I would assume its a water slide decal or some kind of sticker with a clear coat over it. Have you opened it up to feel if it can me removed? If it isnt covered with clear then that changes everything. Popular model, easier to just get another one without them haha

    lacquer thinner.
    Test it first. I usually will use a old sock to wipe it on. The decals usually desolve quickly and I will go back with a clean section of sock damp with thinner to remove anything left over. That should work fine with your decals. Just dont touch the black roof or silver trim /chrome or clear parts with it. The yellow is the base coat. Be careful if stubborn.

    I just ran into a problem with some of Hot Wheels decals not coming off including the Corvette Gasser I just bought. Those will have to be sanded. I removed the Turtle Wax decals on that M2 Chevy pick up I just bought with no problem with lacquer thinner.
    I also noticed with 2 tutone paint jobs the top coats remove with thinner as well on a lot of them.
    Dont rub the thinner on clear parts or chrome. It will damage them.
    I also had an issue with Hot Wheels flat colored paints like on the flat blue Nova Station wagons.
    Always test it first! Ive had very few issues and have done this at least a 100 times.

    Pair of English Ford Anglia Thames panel Gassers with DAR wheel swaps and added details. I found these a few weeks ago at the Hartville flea market where a guy was unloading his collection of 90s Hot Wheels. He had totes full of stuff like this for $1-$3.Tacomaworld 2022 039.jpg Tacomaworld 2022 040.jpg Tacomaworld 2022 071.jpg Tacomaworld 2022 073.jpg Tacomaworld 2022 074.jpg

    It was earlier this year - good luck finding one in the stores. Unfortunately your best bet is going to be to order one from the scalpers.

    But then you'd have to decide if you want the Blue pill or the Red pill

    I think I still have an original spectraflame car from when I was a kid somewhere in my garage.

    I should probably find it.
