I’ve been thinking about this idea all day now. Always thought if I made a case it would be great if I could somehow put a lip on each rail to stop cars from falling off. A race track would work but it couldn’t have dividers on it.

Naw.. the wall was already blue... and after a lot of internal debate, I chose not to repaint it. Just added the 1x3 shelves to the wall with pocket holes and screws long enough to go through the drywall into the studs.

Custom Megatron bug. Would have loved to gone to this show. Had a few hot wheels designers there and a few famous people from fast and furious.

All these Beetles just know they are coming to your house so they just show up. Right?

Most of them. There are a few that still elude me.

Recent cars with wheel swaps and details.
Heading to Thompson in a few minutes for the Gasser Nationals. Being a track photographer I always get lectured when I get home for having black specs of rubber stuck to my t-shirts and face. Just tell my wife that's how you can tell I had a good time. It also takes a day to get the smell of burning rubber out of my head. Thompson is pretty cool. The drive there takes you through NE Ohio's Amish country and Benjamin Orr from The Cars is buried across the road in a small rural cemetery from the track.Tacomaworld 2022 064.jpg Tacomaworld 2022 075.jpg Tacomaworld 2022 076.jpg Tacomaworld 2022 079.jpg Tacomaworld 2022 082.jpg

These are for William63. I have never seen this Bug before. It was wild. So many modifications and a blown Big block Chevy for motivation. I liked the 4 -59 Cadillac tail lights and widened rear fenders. Thompson underwent a lot of changes with new owners this year. Been going here since the 1980s and already miss what it used to be. Change is inevitable.Thompson fall 22 148.jpg Thompson fall 22 152.jpg Thompson fall 22 156.jpg Thompson fall 22 164.jpg

You're right! There is some cool stuff there. I think @RLMoody might be interested in some of the 1:24 models too.

Auctions and online stuff really aren't my thing.i enjoy going out and finding things in the stores but I do appreciate you sharing. Those 1:64 tractor trailers are cool too! I like seeing the old fire trucks!

That auction is pretty cool. Bids will be flat until the last hour or two and they take off. I've bid in auctions several times before but there is always somebody who has to try to outbid you unless nobody is interested. My brother-in-law bid $1200 for a grandma car 89 New Yorker with 26000 original miles and drove it home. No rust or repairs needed. Even the bright red velour interior looked new. Noone else was interested in the car. Thats when auctions go your way.
