I'm happy you're looking at these and hitting some memories. You ever check Youtube? They have a ton of stuff full of these old ones. Any toy, for that matter, that you could recall you had, it's in YT.

 

The dodge #30 yellow cab crane truck went for $10,000US at an auction recently, some collector in Germany any bought it. At one time I was gonna get real serious about collecting these lesney cars, then I started flying helicopters and was always travelling and lost interest.

 

Respect for your career man! There's a seller in Ebay that has a bunch of "one-off" highly unusual Lesneys and Hotwheel Redlines that are of rare colors etc. and the prices are crazy like that.
One of my favorite things about the Lesney trucks is the unique tint on the windows-like the green and the blue. Like the trucks I posted and also the Snow-Cat with the deep green tinted windows. Just total eye candy for us kids

That's so cool. I would have freaked if I had that as a kid

 

I'm lucky I managed to carry these along with me through life! Some of them still have traces of like dirt from playing with them in the yard of my childhood home in Itasca, Illinois. Some even still have traces of debris and even carpet fibers from the living room carpet or the HO train layout I would play with them on down in the game room.
That Snow Cat has a rare variation that is worth more as it has "Snow Cat" decals on the sides that mine doesn't.

I think it’s awesome you still have all these cars from when you were a kid. Like Deathray reminds me of playing with them when I was a kid.

 

I'm with ya Williams I've got 7 years on you and speaking for myself, am a kid at heart with stuff like this. I love just gazing upon these old jewels the way they made them-they were very good at their craft for what they had to work with in those days!
I have the same passion for old tube and vintage solid state radio communications rigs too-I have a small collection of such radios running in rotation on 3 roof antennas getting long-distance AM, shortwave, military and high aeronautical stuff. My passion for these is the same as when I was a kid-just like the cars

 

That could have ended poorly.



Forgot that the eBay mobile app no longer adds the decimal point to your bid and mistakenly bid slightly above the $5.58 that I had planned. The last five minutes made me anxious.

I had noticed that the blue 934.5 that I bought had a damaged tampo on the door - actually on both doors - so I grabbed another. Picked up the black 835.4 and the silver fallen 934 turbo RSR.
