I think we are ALL looking for the Supra!

 

Any fire / rescue stuff in those boxes you're willing to get rid of?

 

I’ve only seen scalpers and resellers have it.

i’m also still disappointed they didnt do an MK3 supra instead of the MKII

 

Someone local has it for 140 bucks. He said he bought it from someone as well. I doubt I’ll ever find it. I am going to try to get the complete set STH from matel when it goes on sale in January.

 

1981 Old No. 51 pretty minty out of pack, no hood louvre variant.



And the 1998 30th Anniversary commemorative Old No. 5. Carrier box is maybe 7/10 conservatively, still sealed, car inside is still momc.

 

I’ll dig through these out in the garage at some point and let you know if there’s any other fire/rescue.

 

Went to a Sherwin Williams paint store near me. They couldn’t match the card. Stopped at Lowe’s to pick up a few things and see if they could match it. Said no problem mixed it up and it’s not the same. I said close enough. Didn’t think I would have so much trouble trying to match a hot wheels card.

 

I'm the exact same, don't think we've ever gotten a HW MK3. Sucks especially since I own one I've had to pay a high price to get some MK3 diecast from overseas

 

That's awesome! I've found a couple of those at garage sales. One is in much better shape than the other. What do you think those trucks are worth?

I'm not a normal collector I guess. I open a lot of things. I've also gotten into restoring and customizing older fire trucks.

If you care to, I think it would be awesome for you to post what you have in those boxes. There's a lot of stuff us newer collectors have never seen!

I have a lot of different things, but fire/rescue, tow trucks, cop cars, helicopters etc are awesome to me.

Not certain on current values. Quick research shows maybe $20-$25 for both? But that’s asking prices. I haven’t tracked sold prices on eBay Hot Wheels in a while.

My collecting went from 1998 when my son was born up to about 2005 or 2006.

It’s cool you customize. I did that for a couple of years specializing in 68-72 spectraflame and customized Cobras. Fun work and fulfilled the inner tinkerer in me for a while.

I’m happy to share photos of what I still have. I think those boxes in the garage are the ones my son and I opened and played with. We were both Redline Club members for a while and collected those releases. I’ll look around for what I’ve got. Stay tuned.

I don't think it's an error, just a recolor.

 

I've been looking for the Cherokee for a while and sort of gave up since it was released a bit ago. They must have restocked just before I got there, it was neatly stacked with a bunch of others in the bin right below the pegs.

I have the silver version of the DTM and was only planning on getting that, but the purple on the Porsche is just hot.
