The 61 Impalas are unmolested 1/64 scales. Always one of my favorite cars. The 1/24 53-56 Ford F100 my wife picked up for me at Cracker Barrel several years ago. It was bone stock so I slammed it and added Pro Street wheels. I also added a bed lid and wheel tubs.5323 hot wheels 050.jpg 5323 hot wheels 054.jpg 5323 hot wheels 197.jpg

Really proud of how this one turned out. It has an identical silver twin that it is parked beside. I picked this up at Randolph Swap Meet for $20 still in the box. 1/18 scale. It was easy to upgrade. I removed the flames, painted the engine block silver and detailed it. I bare metal foiled the side coves and used flat black on the wheels to bring out the details. What a difference and this one was so easy.hot wheels 4 sale 093.jpg hot wheels shoot 1023 006.jpg hot wheels shoot 1023 008.jpg

My father in law died Monday. He was in declining health for 7 years. His passing brought relief but it is obvious he will be missed as well. He was a body man and mechanic. It has been a few years since I went down in his shop but did so yesterday. The tools and equipment he had is unbelievable not alone the piles of car parts, books and brochures stored in other rooms downstairs. The best is out in the storage shed. He has a rare vintage Speedex Tractor sitting out there with a ton of parts. Speedex was a local manufacturer that had a plant here in Ravenna. At least in my area they are very collectable. Most of my family are car guys and we are all placing dibs on what goes where when we empty out the shop. Wow was all I could think while looking around. I spent a lot of time down there restoring cars with him.

RIP father in law. My wife says death brings out the worst in people, hopefully in the long run in deciding what goes where, everyone can maintain a cool and conscious mind and attitude. That’s awesome you had the opportunity to spend time learning from someone

I know it’s a hot wheels thread but is that a race kart in the background?

It's an older kart yes. A shifter kart from 2002 but now outfitted with a predator 212. A project my wife and have been tinkering with.

Today started heavy and I’ll add to it but hopefully ending on a positive note..
my brother lost his 3 dachshund dogs this year, 2 to old age 14,15, and Max had a heart attack during a little surgery and never came back. They were black and brown. My brother was part of the Nissan club back in the day in NoCal and owned a 91 300zx, and 2 75 fairlady’s. In tribute, I customized 5 Nissans, 2 for his dogs and three to represent his old Z’s. He had named his dogs Skyline, Nizmo, and Max. Nissan guy..Just wrapped things up today, not perfect but they turned out pretty good imo.

Seen this once before and wish I didn’t pass on it. Snagged it at the grocery store with 20% off, pegs bare besides that.
