Hot Wheels

I customized a matchbox into this. Tinted the rear windows and added other details. Probably posted this before. Couldn’t exactly find the army green paint but this didn’t turn out too bad.

i now have one white, one heritage edition in black, and two blues (one in package, one loose). I also have the matchbox versions in red and in blue.

 

Find in the wild? And did they have more? Lol

No sir, fleabay. I think this one released in 2019 or 2020 so its not going to be in the wild anymore unfortunately

 

Sadly that’s the only place I’ve found it or the black one, had a friend found one in the wild at a food city that had some new old stock after a renovation, guess some had ended up under/inside the display shelving.

 

I’ve come to learn that people “hide” or make “stashes” for later or for other people to find. Its kind of ridiculous if i’m being honest. In the technology age that we are in, when I find cool cars, i text or call my buddies and see if they want me to pick out stuff they like and grab it for them. If i cant get a hold of them, i buy it and if they dont want it or already have it i can take it back to the store, trade it, sell it, or give it away. No need to hide them from other people searching for cool castings lol

 

Speaking of fleabay 4runner unicorns...only in a 5-pack from 2011, and only the 2nd one I've seen come up in 6 months of looking, I got one!!

@Kilo Charlie Thanks! Its a little beat up but whatever. I'm just as happy with it on the frame than I would be paying 5x that for a mint one

My wife and I are National Park geeks. I grab the occasional cool Toyota stuff when I find it, but I reallt landed on the green Matchbox Park Ranger line as my main collecting lane. I only have 4 and am trying to keep from going down the ebay rabbit hole, but the 4unner was too good to pass up. Helps that the Mrs thinks the green is pretty

 

Hit Wally last night....surprised to find a fast and furious 5 pack still on the shelf...well, it was on the very top which I grabbed to see. Black Bronco 1:24 and Matchbox Rig and Javelin cool also.

 

Took a break, till today.
