I finally found some when out riding with the gf! She held the goods for me on the way back in a plastic bag since our backpack was full of stuff!

 

Last time I was in Duluth, MN there was a guy living in a little house down by the suspension bridge with an FJ just like that

So my cases arrived the other day and I can’t believe they weren’t badly damaged looking at the packaging. Guy package them really well and even put fragile tape all around them and it seems like that made them want to be even less careful with them! This one obviously had something heavy and round thrown on top of it. This was the best one

 

Some of the others looked like they dragged them across the floor and even threw them around. He had made some wood inserts to go around the case and the corners. Almost all those inserts were broken or badly damaged. Some of the sides were completely ripped open.

 

Can't wait to see these installed and filled!

 

It’s probably going to have to wait until next weekend. They will get hung and then figuring out where to put some other stuff. I have a few signs that may or may not make it in there.

 

Items from this weekend...I also brought a shirt from Ross with a 1969 dodge Charger on it so couldn't pass that up for $7.99 lol. And the local Target was having a buy one get one free for the 5packs...so paid $12 for all 4.

 

If any of you happen to be coming out towards NH I have display case that is perfect for 1/24 or 1/18 scale cars. Free if you come get it.

 

Has a door on the back with a bottom door for storage and a retractable plug if you want to plug it in for the led lights up top.

 

The base of it has a laminated thin sheet to look like stainless steel. I was going to rip it off and put painted black wood around it. Same with the top that has a sticker with the company name on it. Been sitting in my shed for a few years now. 2’ W 1’D 6’T. 1/18 scale vw for comparison

UPS was at it again. I think all their drivers are inspired by Ace Ventura. They used to show up on our docks with 200-300 packages every day and they were always tossed every which way and crushed. I often asked the driver if they used a canon to load their trucks. The problem with UPS was they gave us terrific discounts provided we didnt file claims for damage and when we did they only gave us pennies on the dollar. They dont care. I had a box of artists prints delivered by them folded in half and covered with grease. Apparently it was crushed in the tow motors mast.

Good Monday y’all. Finally scored a day off after a long week. The lady needed to run a few errands so I tagged along. Couldn’t pass up the opportunity for finding something. Lucked out at Barnes and Noble as well as a Target. Scored the VW Drag bus at B&N. I thought I had the back to the future pop culture edition one but ended up not. I only paid 3.49 at Target for that one. The right side of the card was a bit damaged on the VW but not bad. Couldn’t leave it behind. Haven’t seen it in the wild yet besides today. Hope y’all’s evening is great.

My wife went on Etsy and bought this fancy shmancy spice rack. After I installed it, she was like do you need another one of these for your hot wheels? The answer was no not at that price. It is cool though and would keep loose hw from rolling off if anyone needs ideas.. you could also use signs or stickers on the wall as a backing.

 

i used to do alot with UPS and if you want to see why stuff gets wrecked just go watch them load a truck. Used to deliver to the conveyor sometimes when it didnt make the pickup. Watching sorters tossing boxes at the truck they belong in.

fedex ground was more interesting because the people delivering are subs.
