Walmart was stocking up today... unfortunately (for me) all of these were the N and P cases.

Looks like one of our vultures were just making a pick up at our local Walmart and filled the cart. They usually text the receiving clerk who brings them out. We get what's left. I saw one time where a vulture cleared the display into a shopping cart and then wheeled it to another aisle where he then went through it and walked off and left it. He didn't want to share with the other vultures. Its also cool how they rip the displays apart and then just leave it a mess on the bottom of the shelf. It was so bad at Target a few years ago they stopped selling Hot Wheels for awhile because of Vultures getting into fights over them. Grown men acting like little boys over a toy car. I also like how they own the display when you try to look and use their shopping cart to block you from the display.

Talked to the stocker at my local Walmart this morning. He’s been stocking the toy section for 17 years! He hates vultures and refuses to let anyone hit his stock early. I thanked him for that..
he had just put out a million boulevards he didn’t know they had stock of hiding on a top shelf in the stock area. I snagged a few..IMG_4535.jpg IMG_4536.jpg

Hot Wheels P1800 Volvo's today. Both have new paint and wheels. The flat brown one sort of just happened. I was painting outdoor furniture and thought that shade would work on the Volvo as well.

A big thanks to Scotfree for sending me a Hot Wheels 69 F100 he customized for me to add to my collection of 67-72 F100s. Vintage 1977 piece I believe.I will post it when I do my next photo shoot.TACO World hot wheels pics 175.jpg TACO World hot wheels pics 175.jpg

Nice 66 Nova Gasser with some decals removed. Also still carded 65 Comet Cyclone Gasser, The artwork on the card is as cool as the car itself. Wont separate. I have 14 of the Comets and 9 of the Novas now all different.TACO World hot wheels pics 197.jpg TACO World hot wheels pics 201.jpg

A rare miss for me. This is a Kyosho Samurai early VA STi. I have the Otto 2018-2019 style STi already but since I've been looking at a 2019-2021 STi as a second vehicle I've been back looking at Subaru 1/18 stuff and an early VA fits into my collection nicely.

This was a 1 of 600 that doesn't come up for sale often at a reasonable price. I made an offer on the eBay listing and it wasn't until it was accepted I noticed the LH mirror was poorly repaired. I hoped it might look better when it came. (Spoiler, it didn't). The RH mirror had also come off in transit. The shame is I paid market price for a good condition model and this one frankly isn't between the busted mirrors and some scratches on the windshield plastic.

Maybe someday I'll find another, but for now I did what I could to polish and remove the superglue residue, but it didn't really come out great and I'm hesitant to do any more as it appears to be a two part paint job and I worry I'll blow through the first layer. Live and learn.

Looks super real. Do you detail/wax your larger scale cars? I’ve found a little wax goes a long way with keeping dust at bay..

Typically I don't, unless they're used and gross. I have Carney plexi cases that go a long way to keep everything at bay. I'm always so afraid even handling the cars that I'll damage a sticker, etc.

I did buff the driver's door on that STI trying to get rid of some of the superglue residue but I'm still not super enthused how it came out. Had I been paying more attention I never would have bought it. Win some, lose some.

As long as they keep making cool cars, I suspect I will keep searching for them.
