Big trouble. I’m sure if they do they will make a few different colors. Hopefully not to many.

Had two white 3rd gen Tacoma Hotwheels that got some work. One on the left got a simple tire/wheel swap with a spare set of rubber wheels I had left over, same diameter just wider and now ended up with some brodozer offset. One on the right was repainted to Army Green to match my actual truck, mainly using spray paint touch up can of actual paint (color code is 6V7) but also including some extra color touch ups with the paint pen to add green around the hood scoop and bumper caps where it was originally just bare black plastic. Also gave it bronze wheels with actual rubber tires, slightly wider than the original tires but still in line with the fender flares.

The remaining FJ40s got kicked out of the case to make space for the repaints for the time being.

I was looking into doing just that, but every scale I’ve seen seems to be “sport/pro”. Is the scoop bodycast or insert? Wondering if dremel/fill would be doable?

Filing and filling is doable. I’ve filed down a cowl hood and I cut and file the wings off my supras. Filled the wing holes on the 1/43 scale

M2 Good Year VW delivery Vans. Is M2 a Walmart only deal? Or just certain ones?

M2 has been around, that’s just a store exclusive apparently. It seems to be the modern trend.

I have a lot of the vw bugs from M2 just don’t think I have ever seen one that said Walmart only. Unless I never noticed it.

I’m curious I see 2021 is this from a spring or Easter set or store exclusive? I’ve slacked a lot if I missed a Trans Am

I used a can of army green spray paint (R&E specifically) for most of the work
    413F8wA8z7L._AC_SX679_.jpg
Then Toyota 6v7 Army Green touch up paint pen for finer details such as around printed on details.

On Hotwheels ones the scoop is a part of the plastic piece sitting under the metal main body and clear windows that also includes the fender flares. I think you could probably either sand it down to make it flush with the hood or just cut it out entirely and then fill the space with epoxy putty (or something similar) which you could then sand and smooth to be flush with the hood before painting over. On Matchbox it's metal molded into the body, so dremel might work but I think the metal is raised in the hood scoop area rather than being thicker, so it might just end up cutting a hole if you try to wear it down.

Thanks for the info. I can do some bodywork if it’s just stamped rise. I don’t know the compound of bondo these days, but it used to be talc, which can absorb/hold moisture. We used to use a product called metal2metal that used metallic fillers. Probably jbweld on small scale.

Was in Target, Hobby Lobby, Walmart ,Meijer's and a Dollar Tree today.
Dollar Tree was a big surprise and I picked up 8 Hot Wheels Gassers including 4 55 Chevys.
All were older releases which was fine by me to modify. Zilch at the other stores. Damn vultures again.
Also dug through my 1/64 collection of parts and bodies and realized I have enough to build 4 more Gassers mixing and matching parts. I don't throw much out.
Its the same with my collection of 1/24 parts which has finally diminished to the point doing modifications are getting to be problematic.
