Does the hood open on the Civic? I’m confused on that Civic. I feel like the bumper and the hood is the American style, but the rest of the car is Japanese. Maybe they just changed the bumpers and hoods on the CRX in Japan. Cool car though, my buddy had one that was really decked out back in the day.

 

It’s a sealed resin. It’s listed as a 1987, which doesn’t line up with the EF in the US but does with Japan as the EF Si Extra, which is a very weird spec to model. I know what you’re saying about the wraparound turn signals, but I think that’s from the refreshed nose in Japan, but the early ones were similar to the US.

Also, cue obligatory CRX and other late 80s, early 90s Honda stuff photos.

 

Been seeing a few of the 5-pack of F1 cars, I’ll take any Hotwheels F1 besides the Redbull as I already have that one. Thanks in advance

 

I had an 88 crx si exactly like that..
the center of hoods on the Japanese came up like a cowl hood instead of down like the American cars. Probably to make more room for the b16 dohc, where you could only get the 1.6 sohc in the states

 

Yeah. I remember them being the ZC hood, but definitely to clear the B16.

The overseas CRXes were so cool with the glass top, optional tiny rear seat, etc.

I was in HS in the late 90s / early 00s and there were only a few CRXes left in the Northeast and none of them had any metal left in the quarter panels.

 

I got my Autoworld square body step side preorders yesterday. No chases but I noticed they seem really large for 1/64 scale.

I just stopped at hobby lobby for lunch and found a Greenlight K5 blazer chase 1/64 and a 70 Datsun fairlady Z chase 1/24.

The tires on the white K5 are a little small! Haha I had a 79 K5 but it was red with a white stripe.

 

AW claims they're a true 1/64th where most others are not.
