Yeah, it’s the “chase” in that set, it also has spectra flame or whatever it’s called paint. The blue is different than the plastic base car blue paint.

I think I forgot to post this. This was the top secret supra that came out in the 90s. It had all the bells and whistles. I think he swapped out the straight six for a 2.2 L four cylinder that put out over 800 hp. This car is pretty accurate other than the vents on the hood.

 

Pretty detailed. Is Pop Race the brand name?

 

Yeah, they are very nice. It’s the first one I’ve purchased, they are heavy, but by the looks of them, they kinda have that Johnny lightning/green light realism to them.

I was just at the Randolph swap meet and saw a vulture with "tariff pricing" asking $22 for his square body Chevy pickup Hot Wheels. Said they are impossible to get now but I've seen them several times here on Taco World recently released. Just laughed and walked away. His M2 1/24 square bodies were $35. I saw them at WalMart a few weeks earlier for $24. It's time for people to stop buying anything unless absolutely needed. If you do buy at these prices you're only contributing to the problem. Mattel (Hot Wheels) is getting slammed with 100% tariffs anyways. A $1.25 will become $12.50. Unless I pay prices within reason I will sit this out. I don't need anything that bad. I still have swap meets; flea markets, auctions and yard sales to scrounge at. Just picked up 3 Hot Wheels Gassers at Randolph for $5 a few rows over from the tariff pricing guy. That guy is getting old and I have bought from him before. Always reasonable. Said he is done after inventory depletes. Its time to get out.

He actually swapped in the Lexus LFA V12 into it and it makes closer to 1000 hp. However that engine on the diecast is the 2JZ which is the normal engine in those Supras. Still a cool model, just more info for ya

 

He did one with the 3sgte 4 cylinder making 700hp. And he did one with a v12 out of the toyota century I think. The LFA was a v10

 

A few from this weekend...yea prices on premiums are up in my area. I normally just buy mainlines but dabble in higher end ones if I like them enough. Found this 1:36 yellow car at the DG for only $3. they had a good variety in the box...can't seem to find to much info on them....I think they are the pull back and go forward (friction) type of cars normally loose. Either way, cool cars for $3. O'yea, and finally found the white Matchbox...I had one "like" this while stationed in Okinawa...a white Integra with no bells or whistles though. And the Hobby Lobby had the Ford and almost said no due to the price...but it got me.
