Thanks, man! I appreciate the advice.

Maybe I should have gone with MiniGT. I didn't realize Hobby Japan covers one of the screw holes. Hot Wheels may be the best starting point, but then I would have to learn to drill and tap screw holes...

But first, I need to find new wheels.

The easiest is to start with cheap Hot Wheels and Matchbox. You can get relatively cheap wheels on Temu. I drill out the rivets but I don't tap screw holes; I just glue it back on. Screws would be good if you want to take it apart in the future, but glue is just so much easier and I don't see any reason to open it up again.

That’s when I load up on peg warmers for the wheels.

Really like the shorter version of the Toyota truck, what chassis did you use, or did you just drill holes higher up?

I used the original chassis, but had to cut the low differential area out because it was dragging lower than the wheels. I build it back up with 2-part epoxy.

Found these at a fruit & antiques shop in Thorp Washington. I was only in there for about 20 minutes. Any longer would have been bad for my bank account.:D

That’s a very nice representation of the Lotus (I almost bought one new in mid 80s, Ford EXP instead… regretful).
    Nice haul!

The elite 64 280z is like $12.50 or $14 too at the moment. Noticed the Mercedes fire truck is $15 also
