Oh and rev2 of the tacoma diecast build...

Roughly 1/64 scale tepui autana tents... These were the initial run, I redid it with an interior cavity and made it two pieces so it looks better...

I really want to lift the Fj and put bigger wheels/tires on it. How does one go about doing this?

Diggin' the FJ! No real "easy" way to lift. Involves drilling out the rivets and stuff. Lots of vids on how to out there. Careful, it's a rabbit hole....

The best way would be to drill out the rivet and tap it. They do sell kits that come with the drill bit tap and button head screw. Then you have to find a donor truck to steal the wheels from.

Another thing you could do is put the FJ body on that truck base. If the wheel bases are not to far apart.

when my buddy does his cars he buys a small diameter tubing at a hobby shop. he JB welds the tube on the base where the axel goes then takes the wheels and axel he wants and cuts the axel in the middle. then puts a dab of the JB weld on the ends of the cut axels and then slides the ends into the tube on both sides. you can tuck them in or out of the wheel well and still have the original flat nub on the end holding the wheel on. I don't have a picture of a truck that he did but he put that tube on the bottom side of the base to give it more lift and painted it the same color as the base.

Here’s a gasser he made for me. You can see the tube on the front. The back one is on top of the base and the front he wanted to look like the solid straight axel like a 70’s gasser so left it unpainted.

he told me that tube trick a while ago because some of the wheels he uses are from other makes and the axels are to long.
